A propos de l’Abbraccio
L’Abbraccio Hôpital des Enfants est un hôpital pédiatrique situé dans une grande zone rurale du département des Collins, où environ 48 % de la population est composée d’enfants de moins de 15 ans.
L’hôpital emploie actuellement une soixantaine de Béninois, appuyés par une douzaine de stagiaires. De plus, une quarantaine de bénévoles, principalement italiens ou canadiens, issus de divers horizons professionnels, participent chaque année aux activités de l’hôpital. Par ailleurs, une vingtaine d’étudiants universitaires canadiens effectuent chaque année des stages dans différents services de l’établissement.
Les objectifs atteints
Bien plus que des chiffres, des histoires de changement : un laboratoire multidisciplinaire et multiculturel, fruit d’activités menées au Bénin et en Italie.
Chaque chiffre témoigne du travail inlassable des opérateurs, des bénévoles et des partenaires qui croient en la vision de « L’Abbraccio » et qui soutiennent son action depuis plus de 20 ans.

Am I Eligible to Become a Volunteer?
You are eligible to become a volunteer if you meet the following criteria:
- Available for six to 12 months in placement
- Have a recognized qualification
- Minimum two years of professional experience in a relevant field
- Comfortable with modest living allowance and living at the local standard
- Able to receive medical clearance
- Meet entry and work permit requirements for the placement country
- Able to meet your fundraising commitment
